Our engagement photo shoot with our wedding photographer is next month but we did a trial run over the weekend at the Tar Pits/LACMA with a few of our friends just to work out the jitters/get experience in front of the camera/see how we look/see what poses to NOT do. Trying to “act natural” knowing you’re having your photo taken is a strange experience. We were both taking it seriously (although I didn’t have the luxury of having many glasses of champagne beforehand) but it’s hard not to laugh because of nerves but also because you’re with friends and they’re giving you “direction” and it’s kind of ridiculous and all of a sudden someone’s behind you taking a picture of your butt and WHY IS EVERYONE GAWKING AT US?? Never mind, just tune it out. The shoot only lasted about 90 minutes but it felt much longer. We made it out alive and grateful for the experience and honestly it was fun and the fact that we got a few decent shots out of the deal was a bonus.

Less than 7 months! Days are just flying.
