For real though, the Stone Roses put out like one pretty good album that I’ve never even listened to all the way through and never heard a person mention in real life. This Tumblr is documenting a totally reasonable phenomenon.
It’s a little weird that Fleetwood Mac aren’t headlining, all things considered.
I guess it’s a bummer that kids aren’t looking up the Stone Roses on YouTube instead of looking for validation for their ignorance from their peers but it’s kind of a microcosm for human civilization, so
Yeah, you nailed it. It’s cool that people don’t know about things but in the same amount of time it takes to display ignorance of something on Twitter you can Google or YouTube it and actually try to find things out. I would rather someone say, “Never heard about Stone Roses but I just found this video and they seem ok/lame/whatever” Why do people continue to be like, “I DON’T KNOW WHAT THIS IS, IT MUST SUCK!”
I guess my experiences have been different growing up on Britpop and going to Britpop clubs since I was 18. Also, their first album is a stone cold classic. If you seriously never even made it to the end then you haven’t really heard it. “I Am The Resurrection” and “Fools Gold” are two of the best songs of the last 25 years.
